Boiler Upgrade Scheme increases grant to £7,500 for heat pump installations!!

Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, made an announcement on the 20th of September about an updated grand amount. The Boiler Upgrade Scheme was originally £5000 for an air source heat pump installation (terms and conditions apply) and £6000 for ground source heat pumps (terms and conditions apply).

This has now been increased to £7500 with the revised amount being available from the 23rd of October.

Providing you are installing a heat pump in place of a fossil fuel boiler or 1-1 electric boiler, have loft insulation and cavity wall insulation (or a report from a chartered surveyor exempting the property from cavity wall) you will be eligible for the grant. We believe that with this grant increase this will make the installation far more affordable from the outset, allowing this updated, green heating system to be available to a much wide range of people.

If you have any questions or would like to have a chat about how eligible your property would be for the scheme please give us a call or alternatively come into the office and have a chat!

Here is an article about the recent changes to the Boiler Upgrade Scheme published on the MCS website.
